The Roadeye is an intelligent in car device, designed to record the driving parameters of the vehicle, a true black box for the car. The unit records video along with GPS positioning data (latitude, longitude), speed and acceleration values on an SD memory card.

The Roadeye also includes an advanced camera with WDR (Wide Dynamic Range) function, assuring the best image quality in any conditions. With the addition of the high performance GPRS modem for real-time data transmission the unit can send positioning data, speed and acceleration at predefined times interval by SMS or by FTP.

The unit has two recording modes: continuous and event only recording (10 second pre-event and 20 seconds after). Data recording is assured by an internal battery that allows the unit to save the last recording onto the SD card even if there is a power outage.
